Lupus, what’s that?

Lupus (SLE) is an autoimmune system disease, which can affect many parts of your body. It is like if people around you feel cheated if you can’t show them an obvious proof of your disease. It is not like you have a visible handicap or asthma with coughing. When you have so many different symptoms nobody seems to believe you. You start feeling that people think you are just lying to make them feel sorry for you. This is why I decided not to tell the world about my illness and kept it to myself. Having Lupus you have many ups and downs. It’s like you have different personalities. One good and one bad.
On days like these with puffy face and swollen legs, were days when I refused to go out.
The legs were easy to hide under clothes but to hide a swollen face was not that easy. Big sunglasses didn’t always make the trick. It was on days like these I should have visited doctors but on days like these I didn’t necessary felt that ill. It was just the outside, which showed that I was attacked by the Wolf (Lupus means wolf in Latin).
So life as a Lupus sufferer can be very lonely with only the wolf and the raging immune system as your company. Imagine to never knowing how you look like in the morning when you wake up. You can look gorgeous or have to stay in and not showing yourself to anybody. People think being an actress is a dream world and a glamorous life to live but you never know who your enemies are in this business so full of jealousy.
I have had my degrees of the slice of life and I am taking amazing memories with me.
The end comes to all of us and if you hang around long enough it will raise its regal fear.
Appreciate your life because all of a sudden it can all be taken away from you.
