Established 2003 in a small town called Luleå in the north of Sweden.

 

Trollhedens kennel is a small family kennel that we, Marie Öhman Westling and Åke Öhman have together.

 

The family contains of us parents and our five childen born -84,

-86, -92, -94 and -98 of which the three youngest still lives with us while the two eldest moved some years ago. 



My interest in dogs started when I was just a little girl, there have been dogs in the family ever since I was a toddler. At age 10 I got my first own dog as a birthday gift from my father. She was a little dachshound called Tanja. Åke got his first dog, a labrador named Sherry, when he was 18. Nearly eversince then there have always been dogs around us.

In 2001 we found our first havanese, a little girl called "Nikita" and she moved to live with us and our family. We got "stucked" on havaneses and now we have some more havanese-members in our family.

 

Our dogs are family members and live with us in the house. The show interest are big and almost every familymember have tried, except for our two eldest (they don't dare). The two youngest Jon and Noomi, compets in Juniorhandling with various results.  

 

We walk the dogs both in the local area and let them run loose in the woods, which they love. Our own yard are also free for them.

All our dogs used in breeding are eye-cleard and knee-tested. We also recommend our puppy-buyers to eye-, and knee-check their dogs at age 1½-2 and after that eye-check at least every other or third year.
