CMC of Germany produce top-quality die-cast models
in China, often featuring lots of detailed parts in leather and wood. Their models vary in scale
from 1:24 to 1:10. The Mercedes model on the list is built in 1:18 scale. It was released
in early 1998 and is made from more than 100 parts, featuring a straight eight engine with induction
pipe under the bonnet, inner brakes on both front and rear axles, very detailed instrumentation,
spoked wheels, and cloth-covered driver's seat. Even though this limited edition model targets
the serious collector seeking a higher level of perfection and authenticity it surprisingly,
however, does not match the high end brands such as Exoto and a few others.
