Flight Simulator Flying
This is about flying virtually, in Microsoft Flight Simulator. This is a great hobby and pastime for a lot of people around the world. And for me. Actual real flying is #1, this is definitely #2.
My FS9 SetupThis is about the setup and configuration; the sceneries, the aircrafts, the add-ons. You can do a lot to enhance your flying experience.
My typical FS9 FlightStep into the flight deck with me and fly from Helsinki to Edinburgh one winter's day in my Boeing 737-700.

A Flight in FS9 Around the WorldA tribute to all who makes freeware sceneries for you to download and use and enjoy
The wonderful World of the Flight SimulatorA lot of thanks and respect go to Microsoft for creating this wonderful machine, the Flight Simulator. To make this a stand alone virtual flying device in itself is great, but also to make it an open source software for you and me to tamper with and be able to add gadgets and stuff that you fancy. I still use FS2004 and not the new FSX. Reasons are looooow framerates in FSX and my hundreds of add-on sceneries, aircrafts, gadgets, things and stuff for FS2004. I'll keep until a new computer arrives here. Anyone with a little interest and patience can add airports and buildings and you can even build them yourself and tweak the performance of your aircrafts. Yes, improve the overall experience. There are companies that sell add-on products, but better still, there is a large community of flightsimmers all around he world, who offer stuff for you to download free of charge. And you can create your own add-ons and upload to the dedicated Flightsim web sites.
