
Around him Erik Steen has gathered a team of outstanding musicians and dancers who have approached Flamenco from different directions and thus contributed something very personal to Flamenco Fusion. The dancers Maria Pröckl-Steen, Tina Wezelius and Jannie Berggren belong to the very top with many years experience as practising dancers as well as pedagogues at the College of Dance, Kulturama among other Swedish and international Institutes of dance.
Electric bass is not a common instrument within Flamenco music but Björn Meyer accentuates and complements the Flamenco guitarist with his imaginative playing and gives the whole group a unique width of sound. He has also composed and arranged part of the groups´ repertoire.
Of all the different voices of Flamenco it is the song that puts into words the atmosphere of the music and dance. Rogelio de Badajoz Duran, Thierry Boisdon and Antonio Córdoba adds to the group this very voices in a way which cannot leave anyone unaffected.

Rafael Sida and Fredrik Gille play percussion which mostly means a wooden box, cája, which has become an important part of modern Flamenco. To the cája are added congas, bongos, potdrums, darbouka and finger-cymbals which combined with clapping and stamping turn the rythm into a constantly fluctuating source of energy.
The appreciated musician Johan Alenius often joins the group on saxophone and flute, he adds moods as natural in flamenco and jazz as well as in Cuban salsa.©1999 markando
