Welcome, to our teams homepage. I have noticed that we have several visits from Europe, USA and even Asia each week and that is great. I am sorry that we don't have a complete English version of this site but
it is not possible for us to provide that I'm afraid. I tried once to do it, but there was not enough time so the English version got outdated really fast. Therefor I decided to make a short description of our team here and also provide a translation for the links in the menu so that you at least can navigate to our results, the roster etc.

Skå IK
We are situated just outside the capital of Stockholm in the beautiful lake Mälaren. If you pass the Royal Swedish Castle, Drottningholm you will get to us.
The Hockey section of the club really got goping when our inddor arena "Allhallen" was built and after that we have became one of the cities greater clubs with teams in the top division in most of the classes. Considering that almost all of our players are local, due to the distance from other villages, this is good.

Team 87
We are playing in the top division in "Aftonbladet Cup" (one of the lagest youth hockey tournaments in the world).
We are also participating in national and international cups each year, and we went to Norway last year.
This season (2000/2001) is the last before body-checking is allowed. In youth hockey in Sweden body-checking is permitted in the lower ages. This is heavily debated, but that is the way it is. The game has become rougher even without clean checks so it shouldn't be a big adaption.
