Feedback - yet again
All Panzer Campaign titles updated:
This update is the sum of the last five months feedback.
Some of the main changes are:
1. Larger unit counters and with more distinct colors than
before.
2. Incorporation of traditional boardgaming markers, and in a
color coding familiar to the veteran PzC player.
( Map Symbols is still optional! )
3. More accentuated elevation differences in the terrain,
altough still not as aggressive as in the original, and a new ground texture.
Plus an unknown number of small cosmetic changes. And as
always, you can check out the new stuff in the
Map Legend.
Hope you like it! |

Feedback is a good thing
All Panzer Campaign titles
updated: Due to user feedback a couple of changes have been
made - Edited the marking for Travel Mode on the unit
counters for easier recognition and narrowed down the Streams to
further differentiate them from Rivers.

Defenses, defenses, and more defenses
All Panzer Campaign titles
updated: Reworked the symbols for Minefields, Improved
Positions, Trenches, Bunkers, Pillboxes and Obstacles.
I have increased the size of these symbols and their color markings
for easier identification on the maps.

Elevation
All Panzer Campaign titles updated:
Increased the elevation differences slightly, which should
make it a bit easier for the player to read the terrain.

Ooops... I did it again
All Panzer Campaign titles updated:
Couldn't resist fine tuning some little bits and pieces
before I take a break - sorry guys! :-) I have raised the
bridges slightly and made it easier to distinguish between
bridge types. Ferries and Industrial areas has also been
adjusted for easier recognition.

Orchards and Fords
All Panzer Campaign titles updated: Reworked art for orchards,
which are now easier to differentiate from forest hexes. Also, fords across
rivers looked odd under frozen conditions, so these has been
reworked as well.

What and Why?
Panzer Campaigns is a series of wargames, published by
HPS Simulations, that covers various World War II
battles in great detail.
MapMod is a mod which changes all the graphical elements
for the 2D Normal View in Panzer Campaigns. You can find
a detailed description of MapMod and its features on the
Map Legend pages, or you can take a look at some
Screenshots of the mod in action.
Why a MapMod? Well, my reasons were many, but most of
all MapMod was made out of love for these games. The
historical research behind them are just phenomenal, and
the attention to detail is second to none. For me it is
like having catched a little piece of history to own one
of these titles, and I can highly recommend every single
one of them.
( TIP: I know for a fact that games from HPS Simulations
can be pretty much impossible to find in any local
stores. But I can recommend a great little online store:
NWS. These guys are passionate wargamers themselfs,
their service is excellent and their pricing is the best
I have seen anywhere. )
So... I hope you like MapMod - because it really is a
labor of love... :-)

How to easily avoid problems:
1. MapMod is 100% compatible with Volcano Man's unit art
and alternative scenarios, as long as you install
Volcano's mod first and MapMod second.
2. Whenever you install an
update from HPS Simulations, or from Volcano Man, it is good practice to
always follow with a reinstallment of
MapMod.
