This is not a
guide dog or a
service dog (...it's a dish
brush chewer)
Guide dogs
are trained to lead the sight
impaired and undergo a training which takes between 6 to 8 months. The
dogs are trained to lead their owner by obstacles, find safe crossing
points & doors etc.
Service dogs
are another example of dogs who help disabled people. Service dogs are
trained to assist their owners & can pull a wheelchair, fetch things, open
doors & other similar activities.

Xingo's
brother
Quest has been "adopted" by
Canine Partners
in England to be trained as a service dog.
Diana Singleton
tells a story about a labradoodle, trained for her by
the Hampshire based charity Canine Partners.
