dancers coming from different parts of Scandinavia to "try someone new".

Due
to all great respons, we can now guarantee alot of exciting meetings between
dancers from near and far! Lots of registrations keep coming, and reasure
us of our bookings.

we had some missunderstandings, we postpone last date:

register until May 15! The Foreign WS don't cost 300.- extra,

that we will also see

She will teach one workshop
on Zar (a Trance Dance), and one workshop on Harem's Dance. |

Yousry
Sharif, New York
specialised in solo performances
based on traditional egyptian movements and feelings. Occasionally adding
a "flavour" of both modern dance and latin, sometimes resulting in dramatic,
fascinating choreographies.
He will teach Orientale
in both intermediate/advanced level and in advanced/proffessional level.
And as a third workshop he will teach Cabarét style to advanced/proffessional
level. |

Suzanne Petrén
Abou Shebika, "Zeina",
since a few years back teaching in Sweden, after several years of performing
in Egypt!
Now together with her
husband Mohamed performing with their group Nefertari,
and arranging the Festival ! |

Hansson, popular performer in Europe,
and even Australia ! |

Annika Koskinen, unfortunately
she cannot come, and we have to cancel her class.
All dancers have been

Bia Bergström,
performer, teacher and director of Elibelinde giving a great show last
summer in Re:Orient. |

Ulrika Hellqvist, great
teacher and performer from Gothenburg, also hopefully performing in the
Festival with her own group! |

teacher, performer
and member of
ISIS. |

On demand
since last year we will arrange Tabla Drum Lessons. Teacher will be Mohamed
Abou Shebika himself! |

Swedish teachers |
New
teachers will be Jeanette Friis, Lena Ekholtz, Lenita Björk
and Ulla Edenmark. They will give both beginners classes and more advanced
classes. These teachers will all give more than one class, so we get the
opportunity to try them out, both one beginners class, and one more average
level. For more details on different themes, please check below by the
schedule!
Beginners,
please notice! There will be a lot of chances to just "try out"
something new, without registration, if you maybe haven't had the
experience before!!

Jeanette Friis,
dancer and dance teacher with many years experience. Educated in Sweden,
Egypt, Turkey and London by famous dancers and choreografers. |
 |
Lena Ekholtz
has been studying Oriental Dance since -86, and has practiced with many
different teachers, swedish and foreign, many of them from Egypt. She is
mainly specialized in the rich variety of egyptian styles. Lena is also
educated in western dance, classical ballet, jazz and modern. She works
as a solo performer and teacher at Kulturama. |

Lenita
Björk, solo performer, teacher and member of Hip
Stars. She has danced many years and for many different teachers from
all over the world. 1997-1998 she was president of SODA
and is still working in the organization. Lenita is most educated in the
egyptian dance tradition, but has also proficiency in other oriental countries
styles, she is teaching at DansCenter Stockholm.
