Seeking Improvement

I am always seeking to "improve my position" in life. At the moment I have a nice little job creating educational multimedia films, but it is not exactly technical!

My qualifications are the military equivalent of the civilian HND/HNC, and I also have City & Guilds certification. My present non-technical wages do not exactly pay me what I am worth. Experience (in brief):

• Fluent english speaker.
• Installation and maintennance of all types of electronic and communications equipment.
• Installing & maintening trunked radio systems (MPT1327 & MPT1343 the father of TETRA).
• Radio system planning and configurations, including surveys.
• Radio/Electronic fault localisation abilities from system to component level.
• Radio antennas, from design to installation, from HF to UHF.
• Expert level with the soldering iron and a static-protected workbench.
• Language editor, Technical writer, Method Engineer, Project Manager.
• Multimedia video editor, Sound engineer, Cameraman, and Scriptwriter.
• Full-time educator in telecommunications (theory & practical).
• Airfield communications and navigation equipment maintennance.
• Fluent English (mother toungue), fair to good in Swedish, (plus a little Arabic).
• Willing to travel (short duration) for the right position.
• I am prepared to relocate for the right position.

Some Unusual Experiences include:

Renovated an old Ediswan MkIII EEG machine (DC-coupled EF37 tubes), and even had formal training in recording EEG, ECG, and Echo-EG, from live patients. I have written test software for hand-held spectrophotometers (Apple IIe), and even assembled LASER display control consoles that were later used in the J. M. Jarre "docklands" recording. I have designed an "AC-No-break" unit to keep key control equipment operational during power cuts in Saudi Arabia, and I have communicated with a party of cavers (pot-holers) underground, using simple equipment I designed built. I have used a LASER to "listen-in" to a room, and I have designed radio direction-finding antennas and equipment. I have also built a complete FSK MODEM using just three EPROMs, and a slack-handfull of support components.

Present Projects and Ideas:

Converting and generating alternative power at a household level. I have several educational video projects requiring only information, components, (or finance) to complete. I want to develop a course of education for vintage valve (tubes) nostalgia. I have ideas for a low-cost spectrum analyser for the radio-frequency bands. Bio-feedback has always interested me and I would like to record the Alpha-rythm from a human brain, and investigate how to use it to control an external circuit(s).
