30" gauge logging railroads in California
For those who want to model narrow gauge in On30" or HOn30",
correct gauge prototypes are hard to come by. Thirty-inch gauge was not
that unusual south of the border, but the Yosemite Short Line was unique
in the U.S., having been conceived as a 30" gauge passenger-carrying
common carrier railroad. While the project was short-lived, it spawned
several interesting 30" gauge logging lines. This WEB-site is dedicated to
these little-known narrow gauge operations.
Thanks !I could never have assembled this material without a lot
of patient guidance and help from the real experts: Ted Wurm, Rick Mugele,
Doug Richter, Mallory Hope Ferrell, Kyle Wyatt, David W Braun, Mark Reusser and Jim Bryant. My role is only the messenger..
