Arja Hermansson was born in Finland as the first of
three children in an artistic family.
Early in my childhood, I had to learn to tear pigments and
span, base painting canvases.
In 1990 I set up on an art education that lasted two years
full time.
Many of my images are inspired by impressionism in
which landscape seen in the natural light.
I am fascinated by the relationship between light and
color. Usually I choose to paint in pure primary colors.
The reasons are varied ranging from flowers, landscapes,
everyday life scenes to a more playful free painting in
which the imagination may be a wide margin.
Arja Hermanssons paintings are represented in the County
Council, Municipality, State but also in private homes in
Sweden, Finland, Spain, USA and Italy.
