Cochin

Cochin is the main harbour of Kerala. Sometimes it is named the Queen of the Arabian Sea. Cochin has a long history, there seems to have been a town here already in 400 A.D. Cochin has been deeply influenced by the Portuguise and Dutch periods of history. You can still see this in the architecture. Cochin is also famous for being the place where Vasco da Gama was buried in 1524. The also famous Kerala dance kathakali has its geographical center in the Cochin area.

Our greatest impression from our visit here in 1987 was the dolphins we saw from the ferry playing in the sea.

This is the way to S*Poo Nai's Cochin.
