At 09.30
am we start with a briefing, riding instructions and pack our equipment. After
1½ hour we start our trip towards Rävfallsstugan (cottage) alt. Aitelnas viste
(place). We ride along the unregulated water of Vindelriver. We try the
speciality of the Icelandic horse, tölt. Lunch outdoors. At Rävfallet there is a
woodheated sauna and after our arrivel we heat it, and enjoy the warmth and the
rush from the Rävfallet. Only a camp style dry
toilet.
The place Aitelnas is situated very picturesquely below the steep slope of
Aitejastjåkke and by the river Vindelälven. And strangely to say its fine
beaches are so tempting. (Watertemperature
can be cold)

We ride for 17-19 km and will be in the saddle for
3½-4 hours.

| Saturday: |
We wade on horseback across Vindelriver, it is an exiting experience that makes
you feel giddy. We climb Stoure Jåppen and canter across the vast expanses of he
mountain plateau, an experience that many appreciate whether trained riders or
untrained. We have lunch at Stabburet, an old Laplander viste (place) from the
end of the nineteenth century. After lunch we move on above the tree-line. Below
us is the bird sanctuary of Marsivagge. Back in Ammarnäs
by 5 pm.
We ride for 24 km and will be in the saddle for 5- 6 hours.
