| "Ammarnäs - before the wilderness begins" Togheter with
reliable and good-tempered Icelandic horses we travel in one
of the largest nature reserves in western Europe; Vindelfjällen.
A varied and
fascinating mountain landscape where all types of nature are represented.
In this type of landscape a light and sure-footed horse are to be prefered
so therefore we use Icelandic horses. The horses seems to be one with
nature, a nature not far from their natural one - Iceland.
Our guide, Helena, is a trained riding guide for Icelandic horses and has
many years experience of mountain riding, everything from 2 hour to 5 day
tours.
We run tours with small riding groups with max. 6 persons. We want
all to have personal and individual guidance with riding instruction.
We begin some of our tours with a theory and riding lesson so that you as a beginner
will feel safer in the saddle.
We are certificated ecotourism-arrangers according to "Nature´s
Best" a quality mark for Swedish ecotourism. We attach great importance
to the mental experience, personal service in a cosy environment and
good homecooked food that largely consists of local ingredients.
