Tentacles:

In this tutorial you will learn how to make these tentacle looking things. :D
Start of by making a new document.
400 width x 400 height

You can use any colors you want, but at the end they have to be almost identical.
Fill the layer with your background color.
Make a new layer and, for now, press the little eye on your first layer,
with the background color on it, to make it invisible.
Take out your brush tool.
Take a soft brush with around 30 px size.
Press F5 to bring out the Brushes pallette.
Use following settings:

Set the Scatter to 90%.
Then draw 3-5 lines from the bottom left corner, upwards.

Then press F5 again and change Shape Dynamics, from 70 to 40.
Leave the scatter at 90%.
Also change your brush size from 30 to 20.
Draw 8-10 lines all over the place.

Okay, one more time. Press F5 and change the Shape Dynamics from 40 to 20 and the scattering from 90 to 70.
Change your brush size from 20px to 10px.
Draw many off these short things, also, all over the place.

Next, go to: Filter > Blur > Radial blur.
Place the cross like this and use the same settings:

Press ok and then press ctrl + F to repeat the blur once.

Click on your background layer's little eye again to make it visible.
Yeah..you can't see your blur layer anymore. But with some shadow and bevel, we will be done! Almost..

So, right click on you newly blurred layer in the layers pallette and choose Blending options.
Check both Drop shadow and Bevel and Emboss. Use the default settings.
Press ok.

Make a new layer, fill it with this color: #1D5867
Change the Blending mode to Color.
The end!

Tip:
Add some cool pattern to your tentacles, like I did on my version.
And keep experimenting with it.
