Simple water:



In this tutorial you will learn how to make this nice effects with only 2 layers.
Let's begin!

Make a new document 400x400 pixels with transparent background.
Make sure you have the default colors by pressing D once.
Then go Filter > Render > Clouds
and then Filter > Render > Difference clouds

Press Ctrl + F to repeat the difference clouds a couple of times.
Stop when you have lots of white clouds.
Then go to Filter > Render > Lens Flare.
Leave the settings at default and choose the first lens, 50-300mm Zoom.
Place it somewhere where you have a black spot.
Press ok.

Keep doing this until you have covered all the big, black holes.



Then go to:
Filter > Distort > Diffuse Glow, use default settings.
(6, 10, 15)

After that go to:
Filter > Sketch > Chrome.
Leave the settings as default. (detail:4, smoothness: 7)
Press ok.
Duplicate this layer by either pressing Ctrl + J
or right clicking on the layer and choose Duplicate.
On your new layer, go to:
Filter > Distort > Wave.
Use following settings:



Now go to:
Edit > Tranform > Flip Hosizontal.
Set the new layer's blending mode to Lighten.

Then press this button, located in the layers pallette and choose Color Balance:



Play around with the three different settings for shadows, midtones and highlights til you get a color you like. Press ok All that's left now is to add some personality to it, add some patterns or gradients, write your
slogan or site's name etc etc.
