History behind S*AZZA Cat breeding

Chili

(Closed stud, creme)
The whole thing started on the 4th of February 2001, when Chili, or S*Eddakattens Blixt Gordon was born. He was the smallest of all the kittens in his litter. He was a matter of fact so small that his old owner had to feed him.

After 12 weeks, when he arrived to us, we could hear a constantly purring, healthy little boy. We could never imagine that a cat could purr so loud and much. He was purring all the time, even when he was eating. After about 6 months Chili really had us in his claws so thoughts about giving him a friend to play with came up. About the same time we started to think about cat breeding...

Azalea

(Neutered female, lilac)

Exaclty one year later, on the 4th of February 2002, Chilis older sister gave birth to a couple of kittens. It got to our notice that a purple little girl was for sale. Because we are living in a town far away from the cat breeder we couldn't go and visit Azalea .
We got some pictures and talked a lot at the phone, then we decided that S*Criss Cross Azalea was going to be a part of our family.
In the begining Azalea was a real coward, she had a hard time to front her big brother Chili, now 15pounds, when he was trying to play with his younger sister. It was just a matter of time before she started to give back...

Azalea became International Champion before we decided she should retire. Now she is a neuter.

Felicia

(Neutered Female, blue)
The 10:th of February 2003 a girl was born at S*Zanders in the southernmost of Sweden, Skåne. She was to be named Felicia. Today she is a healthy and growing girl. She is very nosey and courageous youngster, always following us around the place.

Mizzy

(Neutered Female, chocolate tortie and white)
T
he first of Noveber S*Jagularens Virvelvind was born. Her name means tornado and she realy acts as one. We are calling her Mizzy. We would like to thank Malin Hellström for a good "partnership" regarding Mizzy. Mizzy have given births to one litter. Due to our lack of time for som following years ( we will never compromise in the love of our newborn kittens) we thought it would be bets for Mizzy to be a neuter. So it was in december, 2007.

Cassiopeiae

(Neutered White female, (blue))

At spring 2005 Azalea gave birth to her 2:nd litter. To our big surprise there were both short and longhaired kittens. The only shorthaired girl S*Azza Beta Cassiopeiae stayed with us. She is the most loving and beautilful girl you can imagine. She is very talkactive to be a Brittish. Here standard is great and her eyes gourgous!
In Cassiopeiaes case it was the same as for Mizzy. We saw some years of less time for breeding, and with the respect of our cats we thought it would be best if she became a neuter.

S*Azza catbreeding

When Azalea was around 10 months we decided to registrate a strain-name. We wanted Azalea to give birth to kittens when she was around 1½ - 2år. We chose S*Azza as the name of our strain, in honour of the future strain-mother.

In march 2008 we will be living Outside Karlskrona in Blekinge in the southern Sweden. This means if you are looking for brittish shorthair  in our old hometown Linköping, please contact Linköpings catclub (see "links")
