Diana Frances Spencer
was born on July 1, 1961.She was the youngest daughter of the now late
Earl Spencer and the Hon Mrs Shand-Kydd.She had two elder sisters, Jane
and Sarah, and a younger brother, Charles.

When Princess Diana suddenly died, she left an
emptiness inside our hearts. Around the world millions of people felt
something was missing. There was a void once filled by light, now filled
with darkness.
But in that darkness there were little twinkles of light. Each light was
as a star that had somehow been touched by Diana's life. Even people who
did not know Princess Diana felt a bit of her begin to shine within them.

"Diana was the very essence of compassion, of duty, of style, and
beauty. All over the world she was a symbol of selfless humanity, a
standard bearer for the rights of the truly downtrodden, a very British
girl who transcended nationality."

1967 Diana
was only six when her parents separated. The children became pawns in a
bitter custody dispute.

1980 After
finishing school, Diana worked in London, first as a nanny and then as
an assistant at the Young England kindergarten in Knightsbridge

1981 Even
at the time Diana became engaged, there were doubts about whether the
couple was compatible. When asked if they were in love, both answered
"yes" - with the Prince adding "whatever love means".
Charles, it emerged later, had confided to a friend that he did not yet
love Diana but was sure he could.

1981 Millions around the
world watched Diana's wedding at St Paul's Cathedral. This famous kiss
on the balcony of Buckingham Palace symbolised to many that fairy tales
really could come true
1985
Diana added a breath of fresh air and a measure of glamour to the House
of Windsor. Her wardrobe at events like the Live Aid concert set the
fashions for much of the 1980s
"I
see myself as a princess for the world,
not
the Princess of Wales."

1989 Diana
had always longed for a close-knit family. Within a year of her marriage,
she gave birth to a son, Prince William. Prince Harry was born in 1984

1992 During a state visit to South Korea, it was visible that the
couple had grown apart. Shortly afterwards, it was officially announced
that Charles and Diana would separate.

1993 Diana continued to participate in her royal duties, although
the events became something of a public relations battle between Diana
and Charles. The Princess proved adept at using the media to cast
herself in a positive light.

1995 In an interview with the BBC, Diana described her post-natal
depression, the breakdown of her marriage and her wish to be the queen
of "people's hearts". Her candid remarks won her widespread
public support.
1997 Diana and Charles divorced in 1996. But by the following
year, Diana had bounced back. She continued to impress the world with
her glamour and sense of style.

Let us not forget Dodi Fayed, for he was the man who made Diana happiest
in her final days.

sweet princess,lies enfolded within
the wings
of
mystical angels their songs
