Index to Photo FAQs at moink.nmsu.edu
This is an index to the files in
ftp://moink.nmsu.edu/rec.photo/.
Directories at Moink:
- zone-system -- technical notes on what it is and how to use it, and
variations on it. This may include 'zone systems' for color work and so on.
- formulae -- various mathematical formulae and technical explanations
for stuff. This may well become more general, and include miscellaneous
technical discussions.
- organisations -- various forms and publications from photo
organisations, as well as info (when I get any) about contests, workshops
and similar photographic things vaguely resembling organisations.
- chemistry -- soups, tricks, possibly reviews of equipment like
Jobos and suchlike. Of or pertaining to photographic chemistry.
- canon -- Stuff specific to Canon cameras. I'll add more manufacturer
directories as I get submissions suitable for them, this isn't Canon
bigotry on my part, honest! ;)
- nikon -- Stuff specific to Nikon cameras, naturally.
- filter-info -- various tables and data on filters.
- programs -- useful photographic programs, source code or binaries
(currently quite small!)
- PhotoCD -- an archive of press releases from Kodak about this
product.
- experiments -- suggestions for fun/interesting/educational
things to do with your camera/darkroom etc.
Misc files
(which may migrate to directories when I figure stuff out)
- FAQ -- the FAQ sheet.
- asmp-copyright-guide -- the American Society of Media Photographers
guide to Copyrights.
-
asmp-copyright-TeX.tar.Z -- compressed tar file containing a LaTeX
versioon of the ASMP Copyright guide, and a PostScript version.
-
films-data-chart
- camera-feature-list -- the most recent copy of the Camera Feature
list maintained by Glen Porter that I have available.
-
feature-list-TeX.tar.Z -- Compressed tar file of the above feature
list, broken up by camera maufacturer, formatted with LaTeX, and a
PostScript version of same.
- photo-addresses -- a list of addresses of photographic companies.
- mail-order-survey -- recent copy of the survey of mail order photo
equimpent retail houses (NYC shops, Adorama, B&H etc..)
Not sure what else to add.. As submissions come in, I'll update
the tree, and this file to reflect that. Direct any and all suggestions
to amolitor@nmsu.edu,
please. NOT moink, moink is too tender and sweet
to talk sendmail ;)
