When Jimmie Rodgers,Hank Williams,Roy Acuff,Tex Ritter,Ernest Tubb

Eddy Arnold,Red Foley and Jim Reeves began singing country songs...

did they ever dream that a living monument would be erected

to preserve their memory?

When Grand Ole Opry´s George D Hay introduced Uncle Dave Macon

as "The Dixie Dewdrops"or when dedicated leaders like

Fred Rose,Jim Denny,J.L.Frank and Steve Sholes began devoting

their efforts toward promoting the music in which they so

firmly believe...could they have foreseen the creation of a million-

dollar shrine destined to become the greatest attraction

in America? The dream of many became a reality on April 1,1967,

when the Country Music Hall of Fame officially

opened in Nashville,Tennessee.
