If you're a fan of Bap Kennedy's albums 'Domestic Blues' or 'Lonely
Street' (both excellent discs), then you owe it to yourself to
pick up this Hank Williams tribute, 'Hillbilly Shakespeare'.Bap
and his band are in top form on this disc, injecting a little
celtic folk style into the classic songs of Hank Williams. This
is easily the best hank Williams tribute I have heard so far,
and I've heard a few over the years.Bap Kennedy is a truly underappreciated
singer and songwriter. |
