ABOUT LEGUN'S (The beginning)
I started with Keeshond in 1986 when the most adorable little puppy-girl came in to our house, later CH Teuton's Babette. I had earlier experience of both longhaird Dachhound and Labrador but this fuzzyball took her way right in to my heart. Not only she was beautiful, she also had in her eyes a most intelligent bright light wich I never had seen before in a breed. Ninnie as she was called was a clown, she loved to been shown but once and awile she thought it was boring and those times she said: Hey, want to play? And she grabbed my pants or skirt and pull with all her strength backwards. When I told her NO she just lay down on her back with all four in the air, like: Please don't hit me AND laught. You see, a Keeshond can laugh and have humour. Also called the laughing dog.
A Keeshond is easy to own and easy to learn and loves his family IF he's being treated like the famlily member he is. It's also easy that he is being followed by more Keeshonden. That happend us. After 2 years the second kees took her steps in to my home, Teuton's Eardrops, and in 1989 Ninnie gave birth to a litter and there was a boy I couldn't resist who later became Swedish, Norwegen and International Champion Teuton's Good-Will.
In 1990 I planned our first litter out of Teuton's Eardrops sired by Ledwell Yankee Doodle Dandy. This litter was born 21/12 1990 and gave us our first homebred Champion, S & N UCH Legun's After Sunrice. I have a small breeding, only 9 litters have been born since then. What I plan you can see on the page News. I only have one bitch to breed on, Legun's Give-Me-Luck, her lines go back to our first bitch Babette through her father Good-Will. Her grandmother is Stiibergs Otrichia a female who's wonderful temperament passed on to her children and grandchildren. Also, her lines go right back to the beginning of Keeshonden in Sweden from the first imported dogs in the early 50's. I also have 2 youngsters waiting in the background to step forward in time.
At the time I start breeding I moved to the present house in Västerlanda, 50 km north Gothenburg and 25 km south Trollhättan. I don't have any kennels but a huge fenced garden. From the beginning I have had a party with all our puppybuyers and their dogs once a year. When they come here the leashes goes off and all keesies are running around and play. We also have some good stuff to eat, sometimes we discussed something important or just mingle and talk. You know, when dogpeople meets it's never quiet.
