God appeared again to Jacob after his return from Paddan-aram and blessed him. God said," Jacob is now your name but it is going to be Jacob no longer; your name is to be Israel." So Jacob was called Israel. God said to him, "I am God Almighty; (El Shaddai) be fruitful and increase, a nation,  a host of nations will come from you; the land I gave to Abraham and Isaac I give to you; and to your descendants also I shall give this land."
