Oliver's Art Class
After so long can I finally say that this section is open ^^ more tutorials will show up later and some tutorials will do comebacks in the future. Remember that at least I (Sapphire Angels Devil) is still trying to learn things when it comes to drawing in this style so I don't know everything but a few tips and tricks have I managed to pick up ^^ So without further ado here is the first tutorial.
How to Draw Eyes...
Now eyes is the mirror of the soul ^^ some clever person has said and the same thing goes with drawn eyes. There is many kinds of eyes and I will just show a few here but there is really no right nor wrong way to draw eyes in the manga and anime world ^^ (Images is smaller to fit into the screen to see the whole large picture press on the picture.)
Here you can see 5 different kind of eyes that I doodles up. Now to depends on a characther is good or bad you often draw the eyes differently. Big eyes means that its a either really happy or exited characther or that he/she is good. The bigger the more inocent ^^ And the thinner and smaller eyes a characther have the more evil he/she is. But its also a differenc3e between the genders, girls eyes tend to be bigger then boys and the younger a characther is the bigger eyes he/she also has so...
| Big eyes= | Young, girls (often bigger then males that is), good people. |
| Small eyes= | Old, male (smaller then girls eyes), evil people |
If you can remember that then you have the basics done ^^
This is how I often draw a really simple eye. This eye can belong to both a male or a female but rather a female because of the size of the eye. There is no guide lines whatsoever and after a while is this the most simple way for you to draw an eye. But if you are a real newbie at this you should look under this text for a more informative tutorial then just follow the numbers.
Ok as you can see I have taken ovals to help me draw this eyes but also a triangle for one eye ^^ you can use every form you want but if you keep it simple the result will probably turn out better. Remember to draw the first two figures lightly on the paper since you will use the eraser later.
You start to draw an oval laying down on the first picture that's the shape of the eye. You then draw another one standing up in the middle of the first one. (You can move it to a side if you want your character to look at right or left but to start with you can try this). In 3. you can see that I have filled in the lines that is going to be the eye. Erase the lines your not going to use. Add some sparks and the pupil and voila you have an eye ready to go ^^
