Well that is what you could say about beyblade but even though the recipe is simple there is much more. But I will split it up into the tree seasons since they are a bit different from each other.
Anime Intro
Beyblade is about
some kids that plays with spinning tops and some of them just
happens to have what they call bitbeasts in it. Those beasts
help the kids with the tops aka the blades to win battles, and
the team we follow tries to be the number one!

Season 1 Beyblade
Also called Bakuten Shot Beyblade
Tyson is a novice blader that wants to become the best in the
first beybattle tournament he enters he wins it and together
with the three others that was runner ups behind him and also
Kenny aka the Chief who didn’t make it that far, they all try to
be the best.
They face opponents all over the world and then come to the Wold
Championship in Russia where you get to know more about the
mysterious Kai's past because you have already got to know a bit
of Ray and Max past and later a bit of Tyson's to.
Season summary: A fight to be the very best.

Beyblade Victory force (V force)
Here the season starts yet again with us meeting Tyson they are
all a year older and doing different things. Tyson is still
bragging and gets to late to school in the mornings, Ray trains
kids in his home village how to blade, Max moved to his mom in
USA to be with her and probably help with the research but no
one knows in the beginning what Kai is or have been doing.
They meet Hilary who joins their team as the only female in the
team and the one who has never even touched a blade ^-^U
People are plotting all around them to steal the four sacred
bitbeasts Dragoon, Dranzer, Drigger and Draciel and their job
(The Bladebreackers) in V force is to prevent that from
happening but it is harder then you think some times...

Beyblade G Revolution (G-rev)
We meet yet again Tyson when he is battling some kids and Hilary
and Kenny is watching this, it goes well for Tyson and he does
what he does the best, brags -.- when Daichi enters the scene
and the show starts once more.
But after that things don't really go the way Tyson plan. When
he hear about the new tournament being held he is eager to be
paired up with one of his old team mates. But to Tyson's dismay
is max going back to the US and Ray feels that he can't improve
when he is blading with Tyson. So that leaves us with Kai who
will soon leave him as well.
Tyson gets in
a team together with Kenny and Daichi and with them by his side
is he trying to once again be the new world champion. But it
doesn't end there, after the tournament someone form the past
returns and threatens the whole sport.
Will the Bladebreackers return stronger then ever? Or will they
never blade in the same team ever again?
Season Summary: Once upon a time we where a team and then evil
came to town.
