As early as in the beginning of the 19th century the father of my grandfather learned how to maje wax piles. This tradition has been passed on year after year.

In former times, before electricity was available, people came from the whole parish with their beewax in order to get waxpiles. These were used as a source of light in the houses. Even the candles of the altar in the church were made in the waxpileshed.

Inside my shed you will meet the scent of honey mixed with beewax and resin from fir-trees. You will fins a nice milieu which reminds you of the old days. Itīs an ancient handicraft. The waxpiles, wich are unique, are now being spred over the whole world.
