Hilding Rosenberg didn't get the first Swedish professorship in composition as he was a couple of days too old. Instead it went to Lars-Erik Larsson (1908-86). Rosenberg continued to educate on a private basis. Among his pupils in composition one found;

It might be hard to believe, but HR wasn't born as the Hilding Rosenberg we know today. He became that person and met some people on the way helping him. Among his teachers were;

John Heintze (1886-1937, Sweden) who HR studied the piano for before going to Stockholm in 1914:

Richard Andersson (1851-1918) who HR studied the piano for and who was socially important to HR:
