Other good Journals are for example The Japaneese  Wallace by Musashino Insectarium no 1-9 with a lot of Photos and info abouth Parnassius and Butterflies from Tibet, China, India and other country´s  Often new spieces and subspieces ( In number 6 the new Parnassius huberi  Paulus 1999 ) described . In Japan, a new book abouth Parnassius will be published in March, 2002.
It will include 46 spieces of Parnassius ( abouth 200 subspices) with maps.

If you are interested at the Colias family Manfred Dietz have one book ( part 1 ).
In this book there are 1022 Coulor photos, 69 distribution maps and 71 habiat photos, Size A 4. Price 165 Euro.

The Photos are in a very good qualité and I recomend this series to all the Parnassius intrested people.

This book are the Bible for us Parnassius collectors but I think the J-C Weiss will be the new Bible when all 5 parts are finished

Les Races Geographiques de / Die Geographischen Rassen von Parnassius Apollo French/German journals in 6 parts. Sciens Nat

Shortly there will be a new Book about Parnassius apollo ssp. forma, aberrant forms by Prof Henri Descimon and Vincent Pierrat France ( I hope we not french talking people can read it !! ) I know that there will be about 200 photos in the book and some of them you can see below this text !

MY COMMENT ABOUT THIS IS !!

I think they have crossed to many diffrent subspices (mostly from spain, they have much red on, both the for and the hindvings) with the ex they was taken from the Swedish island Gotland 1995. After a lot of copulation and breeding in laboratory (you can have 2-3 gen/each year) there will be EXTREME forma of this rare spieces. If you look at my photo gallery you can see how they look after 8 generations ! I will not do this if I will be in succes with my Females "children" I was catch at Gotland ! I hope They will be "normal" forma of dilatata ("wiskotii"). I know that Descimon and Pierrat have got a lot of (shall we call them semi dilatata ("wiskotii")? Maby 1000 or more ?? ) If I shall do any experiment I will try with the nominat forma ! P apollo apollo but first of all I must be in SUCCES !! I´m glad for any comments about this !

In Netherlands and France there are Entomological journals and I will give informations aboth those later !

OK There are so many journals in the world so if I would print them all I have to sit here for the rest of my life !
