Teaching responsibilities were included in the position as a doctoral student at Lund University (1992-1997), totally approximately 172 teaching hours per year. Since 1997, I have been engaged as the leader of various courses at the Stockholm University, University of Oslo, Norwegian University of Science and Technology, and Gotland University College. All in all, I have functioned as assistant as well as responsible teacher on various courses in the systematics of cryptogams and vascular plants and floristics (vascular plants, bryophytes and lichens).

Lund University (1992-1997) Advanced course in systematic botany. 10-weeks course; I have given lectures in systematics, morphology and phylogeny (1995, 1996) and supervised independent projects performed by the students (1994).

Basic course in floristics. 2.5-weeks basic course, mostly in the field. Mainly in the identification of vascular plants, but also including some knowledge of lichens and bryophytes (1995, 1996).

Basic course in systematic botany. 5-weeks basic course in systematic botany, including all groups from algae and fungi to angiosperms. I have been an assistant to the lecturer, helped the students during studies of microscopic slides, demonstrated plant material, supervised discussion groups and poster projects etc (1992, 1993, 1994 (twice), 1995, 1996).

Course in basic systematic botany for teachers. One-week course for teacher students; including all plant groups. Assistant to the lecturer, helped the students during studies of microscopic slides, demonstrated plant material, lectured on lichens (1993, 1994, 1997).

Administration. In 1995, I participated in a committee that evaluated and re-constructed the basic course in systematic botany.

Stockholm University (1998) Advanced course in bryophyte and lichen floristics. 4-weeks course mainly focused on the identification of bryophytes and lichens in the field and in the laboratory, but also including lectures and literature discussions on morphology, systematics and phylogeny, ecology and conservation issues, and an independent inventory project. I was responsible teacher and gave all lectures.

University of Oslo (1999) Basic course in lichenology. Lecture series aiming to prepare the students for a one-week field course in lichen floristics. I lectured on the systematics of lichens (demonstrating all genera occurring in Norway), phylogeny, ecology and distribution patterns, and chemistry.

Norwegian University of Science and Technology (1999) Basic cryptogam course. Lecture series in lichenology. I lectured on the systematics of lichens and supervised laboratory sessions on the identification of lichens. One excursion.

Gotland University College (2000) Basic course in bryophyte and lichen floristics. 4-weeks course mainly focused on the identification of bryophytes and lichens in the field and in the laboratory, but also including lectures and discussions on morphology, systematics and phylogeny, ecology and conservation issues, demonstration of some macrofungi, and a small independent inventory project. I was responsible teacher and gave all lectures. In addition, I participated in the planning of the course, which was given for the first time at Gotland University College in co-operation with Stockholm University.

University of Bergen (2001-) Various advanced courses in botany.
