• Introduced to lichenology in 1989
• B. Sc. exam in 1991: "Släktet Lepraria i Skåne"
• Began studying Xanthoria in 1992, Lund University
• Participated in the local organisation of IAL3
• Field trips in Canada and the U.S.A. in 1993 and 1995
• Defended my doctoral thesis on 12 December 1997
• Employed as postdoctoral fellow at the University of Bergen from March 2002
