Krissy Carlson (Amy) feared that her character might be killed off during this past summer's "Shockwave" storyline. Surprise! The true shock came when Krissy ended up not only surviving the Neptune II disaster - but being upped to contract. "I heard a rumour on the Internet that Amy was going to die," shares Carlson. "Plus they were making me so mean on the show, I thought that no one would even care if I dies. One day, I went upstairs and asked Gary [Tomlin, executive producer], 'Am I going to die?' He said, 'No, no, no.'" Even so, Carlson was relieved when Amy returned safely to land. The object of Amy's not-so-nice tendencies is arch-rival, Emily, played by Cristi Ellen Harris. Surprise, again! Off-camera, these two are best buds. "We just got back from Maui - imagine that," laughs Carlson. "One night, we went to this karaoke place where we butchered song after song. We also went on a snorkelling cruise, sailing, horseback riding - pretty much everything there is to do." One week later, Carlson and Harris were back on the set - bickering in character, like they do so well.
