A host is someone who cares for a cat I still own for a period of time after he or she (mostly she) moves out. The cat is not sold, but given with a host agreement. The agreement is made between me and the host as to why and how long the cat is still mine and when the host becomes the owner. Depending on what agreement we have made this cat will get e.g. 1 - 3 litters which will be mine and born under my cattery name, but raised in the home of the host. This gives me a possibility to follow up on a cat that I belive in and mate it as I see fit. Since the house is limited and I want to have time for my cats I can't keep all my kittens, how ever much I'd like to, so this solves the problem.
