In February 2002 guitar player Damma teamed up with drummer Hank & founded what was to become a band called Distorted Nation. Soon they were joined by singer Roffe. Other members came and went but Damma, Hank and Roffe stayed put, forming the core of Distorted Nation. The band matured and quickly developed into band with a distinct sound and a treasure of heavy songs. The band released three demos, Distorted Nation, Watch Your Back and Urban War, all receiving great reviews. In the end of 2003 Damma, Hank and Roffe felt an urge to play harder, heavier and more aggressive music and founded a side project. It soon turned out to be more than just a side project and after a few months it had progressed to be their main concern. Finally in March 2004 Distorted Nation met its destiny. Another nation arose where the old one had fallen, being meaner, harder, heavier and angrier….a brand new nation, the Core of Nation.

In spring 2005 Rickard joined the band, originally shooting lead guitar but soon manning the bass gun. November 2006 saw Oscar diligently filling the role as Lead Guitarist. Thus the definite line-up was set and Core of Nation set off for expansion, invading the world.
