PROJECTS

144&432&1296 EME

Dish.jpg (116058 bytes)

4M Dish project.

(I will use this one for EME, Weak signal Satellite experiment and deep space receive.)

I will have autotracking for Sun,Moon,Mars and satellites.

AZ rotator.jpg (118304 bytes)

My new Azimuth rotator that will turn the tower, It will take 30 minutes to do a 360 roundtrip.

I decided to build my tower fully rotating instead of what i first was thinking to do. It feels like it is possible to build the elevation part much stronger this way

AZ bearing.jpg (116792 bytes)

This large bearing together with the rotator shall be put together to a big AZ rotator that i can bolt a tower on. The size will be 500x500x1000mm

The best thing with this is that i can mount a higher tower in the future. (If i should decide to go for a bigger dish.)

Here are my 1296 poweramplifier. It is nothing big, but i hope it will give me some qso as a starter.

1296 PA.jpg (114696 bytes)

I am also building a new 144mhz EME system using X yagis

This is the antenna that shall be mounted again but this time with stronger rotator and tower. I will mount the yagis in X with preampbox back between the drive elements.

(It have shown up a problem that i cant find cheap alu/ or glassfibre pipe for the vertical stackingdistance so i guess i have to start with two yagis instead,,, (2X14 = 18dBd X yagi))

sledgeproject.jpg (114034 bytes)

Here you can see how i am on the way to construct my new sledge tower. It is a 10 meter high steeltower.

Parabol Horisont.jpg (116165 bytes)

As one can see from this picture it is very open to my horizon and we sometimes have so high winds that i must being able to lower the antenna. I could already have had this up and running but i choose to spend that extra work to being safe instead of sorry.

Its Big!.jpg (113915 bytes)

Here you can see how large stacking distance i will have.

Horisontal Boom.jpg (113091 bytes)

I had the luck to find a 15 foot horisontal boom in aluminium. (more and more parts come together to a optimized antennasystem.)

It shall be very interesting to have a large, all the way optimized VHF antenna high mounted to free horizon and see what is possible to hear and work in all different propagations.

More info about my projects will be uploaded,,,
