After a majestic intro, Aetheres starts off with some truly epic and moving music. All tracks are taken from their "Promo 2000" and there is also an unreleased track from their unreleased 2003 album - "Teurgia". If you like your Black Metal with lots of soothing and epic melodies accompanied with a layer of atmospheric synths, then Aetheres is a band that needs to be heard. The next on this split - "Alone in Mourning", is a strange one (in use of better words). I don't know how to describe this one. The music was however recorded back in '96. Be warned all of you who can't stand drum-machines that actually sounds like "machines", cause this is drum-machine-terror. A possessed vocalist is creaming on top off some synth-driven music that sounds more like something coming from a videogame spawned in '86. This material is plain weird. It's up to you to decide if it's any good. Nostalgics of Polish BM needs this in their collection I guess. Aetheres is for sure what makes this split worth the money in my opinion. There's some Panzerfaust-feel to this material, I'm really enjoying this, the music is working perfectly, and shows once more why my passion for tapes and the underground never will die.
