San Francisco Children Center in Khao Lak
In November 2005 and April 2006 we visited a child center in Ban Bangkaya a few km north of Khao Lak, where our Norvegian colleague - Sidsel Svestad - has made some contribution. Both times we brought toys and candy to the children. Before the trip in April Catrin Ångström and her friends had made a collection in Sweden:
The child day care center looked very nice. The first time we were there we could not come in, but I cought some pictures through the windows:
The following pictures are taken at our second visit in April 2006:
Here 7 of the children are taking an afternoon nap. We sneaked carfully between the beds and put a cuddle toy in each bed. These very nice beds seem to be very practical.
Between Anders (my son) and Noi there are three nannies Bee, Tim and Jo. They showed us 10 paintings made by the children (2 - 4 years old). I bought these at 20 SEK each. The girls promised that the the children should get the money. My plan is to sell the pictures at a price of 200 SEK each and letting the money go to our godchildren in Khao Lak. You may look at them in our gallery. You can order a painting by paying to my postal giro 552937-5 specifying which painting you want. I am going to report under Contribution. May be a school is interested of buying them all.
