Child Day Care Center
This is an establishment in the village Ban Thung Rak in the Phangnga province.

It is situated fairly far from the sea, but it is connected to the sea by a wide river. This establishment was financially supported by the Red Cross Society of China, the Chaipattana Foundation and was constructed in cooperation with the Thai Red Cross Cociety:
It is an imposing construction, which we visited in April 2006. Sidsel Svestad - our Norvegian colleague - has contributed to this place through her foundation. We brought cloths, shoes, painter's tools, teddy bears and other toys to the children aged 4 to 7 years. It was Catrin Ångström and her friends who had made a collection in Sweden:
Particularly interesting to see are the desks in the classroom. They are beautifully decorated by pedagogical pictures. This equipment was donated by Reuters International:
Some other equipment here was donated by Siam Commercial Bank.
