At our youth hostel, which is a member of hostelling international, you stay cheap in old charming rooms. Some of the houses are from the 17th century and remind you of old times, when here were a smithy and an ironworks. They have been furnished with modern kitchens, supposed for self-catering.


Many things to see

In the surroundings, there are many things worth seeing, for example the famous canyons Helvetesfallet and Storstupet, the 19th century village Skattungbyn, with its panorama view over the long valley, and, of course, the bearpark of Orsa Grönklitt - the biggest bearpark in Europe.


A lot to do

Dalecarlia has got a full cultural life, and there are many good painters and artisans in the neighbourhood. The many lakes and rivers around are a real paradise for everyone who enjoys swimming or fishing. You can go skiing in Grönklitt or perhaps you prefer taking a tour with a horse and a prairie wagon in the village Torsmo?

After a day full of experiences and adventures, you really need a comfortable bed. We offer you a silent, pleasant stay in our picturesque country-seat. We have got special rooms for allergic people.
