n a late, dark eve in a little Calgary bar named Java Sharks, Fingers Melone (guitar) of Cranston Fields sat sipping a cold one after stepping off stage. As he relaxed another local band hit the stage, amazing Melone with their skills and techniques.

Although Justin Gobin(drummer) and JR Olson (guitar) of the Bru Ha knew not of Melone, he longed to work with these talented musicians. In October, 2001, the threesome had their first jam session at a local rehearsal studio. With consistent hard work and dedication, Gobin, Melone and Olson began creating their own style of music described as aggressive funk, jazz and rock combined with a little improvisation to stir things up. February 2002 saw the addition of Oren Gobin, Justin's brother, on bass to help round out the talented group.

Known as SOULJACKER, the foursome hunted for a singer to compliment their aggressive style of songs until Andy Krenz, the former Bru Ha bassist expressed interest. Upon his return to Calgary, it took only a few hours of jamming for him to lock up the job. The voice was perfect. The band is now concentrating on bringing their music to to the rest of Alberta, Canada, and beyond!
