Safe and secure weapons handling
If you are interested in the sport of
shooting, use a weapon on duty or to protect yourself as a civilian, there
are a few basic rules to be aware of.
Treat
all
weapons as if they are loaded at all times.
Never point the weapon at anything /
anybody that you are not prepared to shoot.
Remember the
laser rule (don´t let the barrel
of your weapon cross anypart of your body when drawing from a holster, or
bringing the weapon up on to the target).
When loading, unloading, and
making clear, always
point your weapon
in a safe direction.
and
finally,
KEEP YOUR
FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER until you intend
to shoot.
KEEP YOUR
G**DAMN FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER!!
KEEP YOUR
F***ING FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER!!!
The above mentioned rules are
obvious, you might say, but I´m sure you know of individuals out on
our ranges, who daily violate just about all of them!!
Educate these people by informing them about these simple rules.
The rules that apply for ipsc shooting should be a guiding star.
Think safety at all times, and we´ll see eachother at the range.
It is your responsibility to use the weapon, no matter what type of weapon
you have, in a responsible and secure fashion.
There is
no such thing as an accidental discharge.
Negligent discharges do exist!
Mr Murphy is alive and kicking!!!!!!!
