Bolivia is the poorest country in South America. A problem is that Bolivia does not have a coast. Western Bolivia is highland, about 4000 m above the sea, but eastern Bolivia is tropical djungle!

Bolivia was much more interesting than touristic Peru and modern Argentina, it is poor, traditional and slow - everything goes slow here. People are very laid back, "tranquilo", maybe because they chew so much coca leaves?

As else in South America, everything is ineffective, badly and short-sighted planned and corrupt. Many people are lying and trying to rip you off, and you can never trust that people will actually do what they promise. Still, Bolivia was nicer and more humble than aggressive Peru.
