The images were taken with Olympus 2040 Zoom through my 4.5 inch telescope and combined in Photoshop. The first and last contact were clouded out, but fortunately the most interesting part between 05.13 and 06.05 with maximum at 05.37 was visible in a clear sky. |

At 05.04 the eastern sky was still cloudy. |
At 05.13 the partially eclipsed sun finally became visible. |

During the eclipse Venus was an easy naked eye object. Fujinon 10x70 and Olympus 2040 Zoom. Field 2°. |
The sky towards east, 10 minutes after the last image in the sequence above was shot. |
Together with approximately 50 other amateur astronomers, I participated in a journey to
Romania to see the eclipse. The conditions were perfect with a blue sky and a breeze from
the Black Sea, 50 meters away.
The eclipse images have all been taken with a 135 mm lens set at f/5,6 on Fuji Superia 400
film, scanned at 2700 dpi and manipulated in Photoshop.
