Advise. The rabbit should have max 5cl of pallets every day and preferable in the evening, free access to hay and water. The rabbit can eat everything from the flora and fauna that we human can eat except raw potatoes. |

Branches and twigs are good therapy for their teeth. The rabbit is sensitive to food changes, so what ever you give it to eat, give it small portions, some pieces of carrots, a slice of apple and so on. If the rabbit has diuria, take away all food except hay and water and then carefully start again when it passes small hard pellets. Never give the rabbit too much food. A well too feed rabbit never gets older than 2-3 years old. |
| The nails should be cut every third month. Clean up very day where it urinates and you will not have any smells. You get the rabbit that you make it to bee. If you take care of the rabbit by playing with it and pet it, teach it to walk with a leash and harness and so on, then you get a happy and cosy friend that is more like a dog. |

A cage with minimum sizes of 1/2 square meters. Shortest side and the hight should not be less than 0.5M. If you have the rabbit inside and let it run loose for several hours a day, you may compromise as bit on the dimensions. Food bowl, water bottle or a bowl is a must. Also good to have is a harness from a cat and a leash, as the rabbit loves to move around both inside and out side. If you keep the rabbit inside, the cage should be on the floor and in a corner away from any draft, so that it can easy go in our out of its cage. Please take note, this is also a condition that keeps that rabbit toilet trained. |

My feeling is that the Dwarf lops is the best selection, the colour is not so important, but the males are the best. The female is
love sick every 20 days in their whole life and some of them, at that time can be irritated. Dwarf lops also have the right size (between 1.5 to 1.9Kg as fully grown). Although it is something to carry, but still not too heavy for a child. Rabbits are not flocking animals in its sense that they live several in the same burrow. They live in their own burrows one by one. They are quite all right by themselves as long as you spend some time with them. As a comparison to other animals, the "Jordbruksverket" allows you for the same reason to keep them as a single animal. |
