The great german engineering tradition has inspired many fine and interesting cars. To-day the trio of Audi, BMW and Mercedes-Benz are reigning the family car sector and Porsches are probably the most dependeble and best engineered of the so-called sports cars. Not all German cars are good. however. Even among the well-known names some are best avoided.
