Latest Update on Leonard Peltier
From Russ Redner
National/International Executive Director
Leonard Peltier Defense Committee
August 19, 2005
Dear friends, family,
and allies of Leonard Peltier,
I talked to Leonard
today and he informed me that he is in the general prisoner
population, not in a box!!!!! He sounded very good and
upbeat considering that he just finished six weeks of
tortuous solitary confinement. He shared he almost didn't
make it this time and that he is so very thankful for your
support. He added that you don't need to contact the prison
anymore as it seems he will have all his hard earned
prisoner rights reinstated, he'd rather you all save your
energy for the next hurdle about which we will inform you
shortly. Keep checking in at our official website at
http://www.leonardpeltier.org for updates
and new information.

Beware of the pleas of the oppressed, because they will
ask for justice from The Creator, and The Creator does not
deny the rights of the deserving. |

Visit the LPDC
website (above) for information on how to write to
USP Lewisburg, the US Federal Bureau of Prisons,
and a more complete list of contacts!
Please write
to your senators, congress people, asking them to look into
Leonard's case, its improprieties
and the additional torture that it
means for a sixty year old
man who is not well
to be transferred at this
stage in his sentence and be held indefinitely in solitary
confinement!
