Chamomille: 1 tbsp. chamomille, 1 dl boiling water. Pour the boiling waterÄlvaover the chamomille. Let draw, under a lid, for 10 min. Strain. Gargle the throat with the drink, while it´s warm, but not so warm that you burn yourself.


 Sage: Put 2 tbsp. dried, finegrained leaves from sage in 1 litre water and put it into a boil. Let it draw under a lid for 20 min. Strain the leaves away. Gargle your throat while it´s warm. Save the rest of the gargling fluid on a bottle and warm it up after need. You can also put in some thyme together with the sage, when you make this gargling fluid.


 Mint: Mix 2 tbsp. honey, 1 tsp. ginger and 1 tsp. finegrained mint into a little jar. Take 1 tsp. of the mixture when you need to relieve cough and a stopped nose. Keep the mixture in a cold place.


 Oregano: This tea is very effective, at least when it comes to relieving cough. Take 1 tsp. dried flowers and leaves from oregano. Boil it togetherÄlvawith a cup of water. Strain, and sweeten it with honey or sugar, if you want to. Drink 3 - 4 cups/day. The same tea can be used as a gargle fluid, if you have an infection in your mouth or throat. It can also be used to sponge serious wounds. Then you shouldn´t sweeten the tea.


 Mulled claret: 1/2 litre red wine, 3 cloves, the juice from half a lemon and 2 tsp. honey. aheat up the wine together with the cloves. Sweeten with honey and pour the lemonjuice in it. Drink the mulled claret as warm as possible. This cure is a real sudatory, so you better put yourself to bed, and drink it.


 Thyme: Take 2 - 4 gr. of the dried, finely grinded flowerparts and make a tea with a cup of boiling water. Drink the tea 3 - 4 times/day. You can also use this tea as a gargle if you have a throatinfection and to bathe infected wounds.


Älva  Lavender:Take 1 tsp. from the herb and put it into a cup of cold water. Bring slowely to a boil. Drink 1 cup mornings and evenings. This tea is good if you are tired, especially after an infection.


 Hyssop: A tea to relieve nightsweat, bronchitis, tonsillitis, gout and stomachproblems
Take 1 - 3 gr. of the dried flowertops and put it into 1 cup of boiling water. Drink 3 - 4 times/day.


 Hyssop: Take 2 tsp. of the herb to 1 cup of cold water and brought to a boil. Let draw for 5 min. Drink 2 cups/day. Use this tea as an expectorant against lunginfections and indigestion.


 Steambath: 1 tsp. peppermint, 1 tsp. rosemary, 1 tsp. thyme and 1 litre water. Mix. Bring the water to a boil and breath in the vapour.
