Scenting water
 Lavenderwater: 200 gr. of 80 % alcohol, 10 gr. lavenderessence and 1 gr. cinnamon are mixed and left for 3 weeks. Strain the liquid and keep in a closed jar.


 Rosemary:
5 cl ethylalcohol mixed with the following ethereal oils:
Hungarian water
30 drops of rosemary
12 drops of lemon
5 drops of rose
2 drops of sage
2 drops of mint
5 drops of bitter orange
Pour everything in a screwtop bottle. Remember to shake the bottle well before use.


Hairtoning with herbs
 Sage: for darker hair
Make a strong decoction by simming 50 gr. sage together with 1 litre water under a lid for 20 min. Let the decoction cool down and strain away the herbs. Rinse the hair with the decoction as many times as possible. Use an old towel to dry the hair, since the hair could colour it. The effect get stronger and stronger depending on how many times you rinse your hair with the decoction.


 Chamomille: for lighter hair
Pour 4 dl boiling water over 1/2 dl drained chamomilleflowers. Let draw for 20 min. Strain. Rinse the hair as many times as possible, after you washed your hair.


Hairrinse with herbs
 Thyme: eliminate dandruff
1 tblsp thyme
1 tblsp applevinegar (lemonjuice for blond hair)
8 1/2 dl boiling water
Let the herb draw in the water until cooled off. Strain well. Mix in the vinegar
(or lemonjuice). Pour through the hair while massaging the scalp. Let the liquid pour into a bowl and repeat the procedure as many times as you like. If the last rinse is done with cold water, the surfacecells of the hair will be lying down so that the hair will be smooth and easy to comb.


Refreshing bath
 Lemonbalm:
3/4 dl lemonbalm leaves
1/2 dl rosemary leaves and flowers
1/2 dl fennel fruits
1 piece lemonrind
1 litre water
Crush the herbs. Put the lemonrind in the cold water and bring to a boil. Remove the pot from the heat and add the herbs. Let draw for 10 min. and strain. Mix the warm infusion into your warm bathwater.


 Lavender: Put this additive in your bath, and it will help you to relieve fatigue.
Put 50 gr. from the herb to 1 litre water and bring to a boil. Let draw for 30 min.


 Wormwood:
1 tabl.sp wormwood, 1 tabl.sp lavender,
1 tabl.sp rosemary, 1 tabl.sp sage
1 litre vinegar
Tear the herbs into small pieces and put them in a pottery. Pour over the vinegar. Put a towel over it and let it stand on a warm, sunny place for 2 weeks. Strain the herbs away and pour the vinegar into bottles and close them well (don't use lids in metal).The result is a very refreshing bath additive to pour in your bathtub. You can also use it to wipe off the benches in the kitchen.


 Verbena: Put leaves in a saucepan with water. Boil it up, and let it simmer for a while. Let the mixture cool down. Strain the leaves away. Drown a piece of cotton-wool in the liquid, squeeze it and after that you put the cotton-wool pieces on your eyes for 15 min.
