To enjoy bonsai you must manage the horticultural aspect. Much to often, a new enthusiast buys a "ready bonsai" or gets one as a present, only to see it wither and die in a month or so. After a couple of such experiences, even a very eager beginner can loose interest, and that fuels the rumor that bonsai is very difficult.

Follow this link to a basic course, you will discover that growing bonsai is a little different then growing ordinary houseplants, but not more difficult! You will quickly learn to avoid the most obvious traps. Perhaps also your houseplants will benefit!
